The morning loop
The loop is a little over three kilometres: down to the river path, along the water past the boat sheds, up the steps by the old school and home past the cedars. Forty minutes if I do not stop, which I always do.
In September the path smells of cut grass and wet stone. The same man walks two terriers at the same bench every day at seven, and we have reached the stage of nodding without saying anything. It is a good stage.
